WEEKLY UPDATE

Parents,

Thank you all for your classroom book contributions, I am so very blessed to have your support!!  Our school goal was $10,000 and we surpassed our goal and reached over $14,000 …. So hope to hear more on the Storybook character day!  Enjoy reading your selections and if you didn’t get to make a purchase I will be sending home our class order in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for your responses to the schedules for conferences….. I am looking forward to discussing your child’s progress with you on Friday, October 24, at your allocated time.   I will be sending your scheduled conference time reminder in the Tuesday folder. Should any difficulties arise please contact the office so I can look into an alternative conference schedule  


This Week:   Lang. Arts – reading – compare stories .   phonemic awareness – Continue with whole alphabet review, with letter L  focus letter for the week,.  Word Family  this week will be sent home in Monday homework folder.

Math –  Continue Chapter 2 -   3 dimensional shapes

Religious Studies -    We will continue to progress in our stories with lessons on dealing with feelings of others, and jealous feelings.

Science -  We will focus on studies of night – nocturnal animals (bats, owls, coyotes, and other animals)

Help your child remember to bring their own water bottle, which will be available throughout the day. 

** Remember payments for Pizza day or Hot Dog day are separate from payments to Sanchez family for daily lunch in cafeteria…. If questions please let us know.

Have your child to complete homework themselves with little assistance, along with reading daily.  Your child can be reading to you can be as easy as having them to look at pictures and tell you about what they’ve seen. ** Have them work on their memorization skills with their sight word flash cards. 
Thank you all for patience should we have to conduct indoor dismissal, it is a day by day review due to our seasonal weather happenings!!  Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and we will work toward responding to your questions.
